Turner’s Tree Surgery were contacted by a local farmer in Chelmsford after subsidence was discovered affecting buildings on the property.
We attended the site, provided a quotation, and once approved, proceeded with the required works.
The Job
This tree was positioned above multiple sheds and houses, so the work needed to be carried out carefully and safely throughout.
Due to what was beneath the tree, all sections were roped down safely during the process.
Site Support
For this project, the client also allowed us to use on-site equipment and assistance, including:
- Cherry picker
- Forklift
- Two of his men to operate the forklift
This helped the work progress efficiently on site.
Work Carried Out
Our team reduced the tree to approximately 3 metres tall.
This will remain in place for around a year to help stop heave, with plans to return the following year to:
- Fell the remaining stem to the floor
- Grind the root
The Result
The required reduction work was completed safely and efficiently, allowing the client to begin managing the subsidence issue in stages.
